Budget Together ("we", "our", or "the app") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

Data We Collect

When you use Budget Together, we may collect:

Account information: If you sign in with Apple, we receive your Apple ID identifier and, optionally, your name and email address. We never see your Apple ID password.
Budget data: Budgets, categories, and transactions you create. This data is stored in Google Firebase Firestore for Pro users and locally on your device for free users.
Device information: We do not collect device identifiers, IP addresses, or analytics data.

How We Use Your Data

To provide and sync your budgets across devices
To enable shared budgets between users you invite
To send push notifications about shared budget activity (if enabled)

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing the app's core functionality.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your budget data is only visible to you and the people you explicitly invite to shared budgets.

Third-Party Services

Google Firebase: Used for authentication, data storage, and push notifications. Firebase's privacy policy applies: firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Apple StoreKit: Used for subscription management. Apple's privacy policy applies.

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely in Firebase Firestore with access controlled by Firebase Authentication. Only you and invited budget members can access your budget data. Data is encrypted in transit via TLS.

Data Retention & Deletion

Your data is retained as long as your account exists. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings within the app. Upon account deletion, all your budgets, transactions, and personal information are permanently removed from our servers.

Children's Privacy

Budget Together is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your data (visible within the app and exportable as CSV/PDF)
Delete your data (via Settings > Delete Account)
Withdraw consent for data processing by deleting your account

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
